Applications for the Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship are closed.

The Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship is a year-long professional development program for high-achieving young public servants who have demonstrated a clear interest in and commitment to their careers in Kenya’s civil service.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicant must have served as an employee of the Public Service Commission in any State Department for a period of between six (6) months and ONE (1) year.

In addition, applicants must:

Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
Have graduated in the year 2015 or later
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications

APPLICATION MATERIALS

A five hundred (500) word essay on why you consider yourself a suitable candidate for the program.

PROGRAM DETAILS

It is a 12-month program, offering a certificate on successful completion of the program. 50 applicants will be selected. The program curriculum includes responsive training, hands-on mentorship, community service engagement, and continuous career development support.

Emerging Public Leaders, established in 2016, is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Tax ID: 81-5294637) in the United States that works with our partners in Africa to strengthen governance and public services by training young professionals entering or in the civil service.
